Aktiv El A/S will carry out electrical installations and plumbing for Femern Link Contractors on the construction site in Rødbyhavn.

Fehmarn Link Contractors, responsible for building the tunnel elements, portals and ramps of the Femern connection has selected Aktiv El A/S to carry out the electrical installations and maintenance as well as plumbing tasks on the construction site.

With this contract, Aktiv El faces the happy prospect of a turnover in the million DKK class.

"We do not yet know the exact figures, but I expect we will hire another 5-10 employees to be able to complete this task," says technical director, Jens Krogh, Aktiv El.

Serves large customers
Aktiv El, with branches in Nakskov, Maribo, Rødbyhavn and Nykøbing F., currently has 70 employees, including 11 apprentices, and has 55 service vehicles on the road, solving electrical and plumbing tasks for large number of industrial customers on Lolland-Falster and Zealand.

"We already have many large service tasks, and this task for Fehmarn Link Contractors fits nicely into our portfolio," says Jens Krogh.

Sees the Femern project as an opportunity for growth

Aktiv El is one of the many companies participating in the development project ‘Femern Vækst’ (Growth), which is being run by CELF and Femern Belt Development in collaboration with a number of business schools.

“The purpose of ‘Femern Vækst’ (Growth) is to gear Danish companies to take part in Femern project tasks and to use this large construction project as a spring-board to simultaneously create growth and development in the individual company. Aktiv El is a good example of how local companies, by being proactive, can get a share of the Femern billions”,says director Stig Rømer Winther, Femern Belt Development.
