
The consortia building the Fehmarnbelt fixed link have contractually committed themselves to create at least 500 man-years for apprentices and students during the project lifetime.
Since the construction of the mega-million project started on January 1st 2021, the number of apprenticeships and student positions in the two entrepreneur consortia, Femern Link Contractors (FLC) and Fehmarn Belt Contractors (FBC), has increased month by month.
These are the possibilities
FLC, who are responsible for building the tunnel itself, as well as the portals and ramps, have compiled a list of training and educational opportunities.
In Denmark alone, there are 355 man-years within these areas:
Skilled workers:
- Construction workers
- Welders
- Electricians
- Ship mechanics
- Warehouse staff
- Mechanics
Office, catering and service:
- Office apprentices
- Catering staff
- Service assistants
- Receptionists
Other areas:
- IT support staff
- Technical designers
- Event coordinators
In addition, FLC can also offer training opportunities in Germany and with their subcontractors.
