Femern Belt Development (FBD) participates in national and international development projects with the aim of promoting business and employment opportunities, as well as generating growth in local and regional companies.
FBD supports educational and knowledge institutions with research, education, and upskilling in collaboration with a number of partners.
Current projects:
Femern Belt Development (FBD) is a project partner in the business partnership "Business Lighthouse Femern". The Business Lighthouse is an initiative under the Danish Business Promotion Agency and is financed with funds from the EU and development funds from Region Zealand.
There are two projects under the joint name "Business Lighthouse for sustainable construction and business development based on the Fehmarn Belt Link" run by the project partners, together with an alliance of strong players consisting of education and knowledge institutions, knowledge clusters and business promotion organisations.
The purpose of the project is to create innovation and knowledge as well as to attract more companies to the region, thereby generating growth, jobs, and increased exports.
The project period is from September 1, 2023, to August 31, 2026.
